Location: Seattle Compensation: $30 - $35+ per hour (DOE) Schedule: Flexible, primarily Sunday–Thursday with occasional Friday or Saturday opportunities About Us Lentsch Culinary Services is a premium meal prep and personal chef company dedicated to delivering high-quality, chef-prepared meals. We focus on locally sourced, natural ingredients and customized meal solutions for our clients. From personal meal prep to intimate dining experiences and private events, our team of passionate chefs creates dishes tailored to each client’s dietary preferences and nutritional needs. We’re looking for experienced and creative chefs who are ready to leave behind the traditional restaurant grind and work directly with clients to provide elevated, customized meal experiences in a flexible and rewarding work environment. Position Summary: This is not your average kitchen job. We’re looking for a driven, creative, and detail-oriented chef who wants to grow into an ownership role at one of Seattle’s leading personal chef and premium meal prep services. As the Personal Chef (Sous Chef / Owner-Track), you’ll work directly alongside the founder to execute weekly meal prep, lead kitchen operations, handle deliveries, and assist with client-facing needs. You’ll gain deep insight into our systems, service model, and client care—while being mentored to step into a leadership and equity role. What You’ll Do •Make amazingly tasty, customized food! •Design and execute customized meal plans based on client preferences, dietary needs, and health goals •Cook delicious, restaurant-quality meals in clients’ homes or our commissary kitchen •Cleaning kitchen and cooking area •Labeling & storing food and writing detailed reheating and method of prep instructions •Delivering to clients homes, business or event spaces •Write custom macros using computer software to match clients specific macro needs •Follow the highest level of food quality & safety •Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment •Communicate with clients to ensure exceptional service and accommodate feedback •Shop for fresh, high-quality ingredients •Maintain a food budget •Occasionally provide private dining or event catering as requested Culinary Execution •Prep and cook weekly menus according to client specifications •Portion, label, and package meals with accuracy and care •Maintain kitchen efficiency and cleanliness •Follow detailed macro, allergen, and dietary requirements Operations & Logistics •Complete weekly grocery shopping and source local ingredients •Deliver meals to clients •Manage kitchen inventory and supplies •Support scaling efforts (e.g. onboarding new clients or staff, marketing, R&D) Leadership & Ownership Development •Collaborate with owner on process improvements and scaling strategy •Assist with menu development and operational systems •Participate in quarterly planning and post mortems •Learn the business side (costing, scheduling, client management) What We’re Looking For Experience & Skills: •Minimum 3 years of professional culinary experience (restaurant, catering, or personal chef experience preferred) •Strong understanding of various cuisines, dietary restrictions, and meal prep techniques •Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills •Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards •Ability to work efficiently, accurately with nutritional software and Microsoft office suite of applications like outlook, word, excel etc. •Food safety training and certification. •Previous experience creating menus and cooking different types of cuisines. •Ability to adhere to all Health Department, OSHA, and WISHA requirements. •Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required when traveling to client’s homes. Other Requirements: •Reliable transportation for shopping and travel to client locations •Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods •Knife skills & provide your own knives and working toolkit for meal prep •Passion for creating delicious and nutritious meals •Equity grants after 12 months based on performance Join Our Team!
